COVID-19 | What We Are Doing
The safety of our families and yours is so important to us, and our hearts go out to those who have been affected by COVID-19. As we are all dealing with this new reality, we felt it important to share what we are doing to limit the spread of the virus.
Guided by the World Health Organisation (WHO), international best practice and directives by the South African Department of Health and National Institute of Communicable Diseases, we have implemented precautionary measures not only when handling our products and your packages, but also throughout our day in all we do.
Enhanced Hygiene Practices
Because all our products are shipped to us, we have made a choice to disinfect all incoming stock. Here is a summary of our process:
- We receive the packages from the courier (no contact). These packages are handled with strict hygiene guidelines to ensure there is no transfer of any contaminants.
- Items are disinfected and placed into sterile storage containers where it is sealed until we package an order.
- Orders are fulfilled following the same protocols when receiving goods.
- Packaged items (either boxed or bagged) are handed over to the courier. Handling of outer packaging is out of our control, so we suggest that you follow the recommended contactless approach i.e. no contact upon receipt, do not sign anything, maintain your distance, either open the package with gloves or clean your hands thoroughly after opening the package and disposing of the outer packaging (you could also spray surface sanitiser like colloidal silver on the bag).
We will maintain 'social distance' as prescribed each time receiving or dispatching items. All handlers are required to wear masks and a strict 'no contact' rule applies. Hands and surfaces are regularly disinfected.
How can we all help?
To fight COVID-19 is up to each and every one of us. Please remember to wash your hands regularly, before and after receiving your delivery, whether it be from us directly or via a courier. Avoid direct contact with drivers, such as handshakes, and be aware that if you do sign anything or handle the flyer bags / boxes you should not touch your face, mouth, eyes or nose until you have cleaned your hands. Remember to wear your mask.
Look after yourself and your family, and also those around you.
From our healthy home to yours,
Saf & Tracy
